Eva Boisvert, born in 1912, spouse of Adrien Blanchette, mother of Florence, Anita, Réjeanne, Maurice, Fernand and Gaêtan, died on July 10, 2001 at 88 years old.
Eva Blanchette (nee: Boisvert),of Hearst Death: July 10th, 2001 Funeral services for longtime Hearst area resident Eva (née Boisvert) Blanchette, 88, of the Foyer des Pionniers Home were held July 12, 2001. She died July 10 at the Foyer, where she had resided since mid-October 1988. Born Nov. 7, 1912 in Laurier, Manitoba, she came to the area sometime around 1930. She enjoyed playing bingo. Predeceased by her husband Adrien Blanchette in 1980, she leaves daughters Florence (André) Després of Hearst, Anita (Albert) Simms of Sudbury, and Réjeanne (Denis) Boucher of Terrace Bay, and sons Maurice (Susan) of Sudbury, Fernand (Diane) of Mississauga and Gaêtan (Gisèle) of Hearst. Also surviving are sisters Cécile Smith and Albina (Gordon) Bernardin, all of Dauphin, Manitoba, as well as 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Rev. Jean-Roch Pelletier officiated the service at the Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption Cathedral. Interment followed at the Monseigneur Grenier Cemetery. Funeral director was the Salon Lafrance Funeral Home. The family has requested that any donations be made to the Foyer des Pionniers. Published on August 25th, 2001
