Eunice Joan Saxon Brown, 77, of Gilliland Circle passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at her residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at 4 p.m. from the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown was born Nov. 2, 1931, to the late Claud L. and Benice E. Watson Saxon. She was a homemaker and a member of Westside Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her son, Christopher David Brown. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Eldon Brown of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Steve Bobby of Gainesville and Becky and Dee Cleveland of Flowery Branch; granddaughters and husbands, Lynn and Tal Martin of Homer, Tanya and Stacy Black of Murrayville, and Amanda and Jim Phelps of Flowery Branch; grandson, Jason Martin of Dahlonega; granddaughters, Star Martinez of Hunnington Beach, Calif., and Jennifer Brown of Gainesville; and seven great-grandchildren.
