BREWER Eunice Charlotte Brewer, age 95, of Milford, departed this life on Friday, May 19, 2006, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Eunice was born on August 21, 1910, in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Harry and Julie (Gilbert) Brewer. Eunice attended Dean Junior College in Massachusetts and later Larson Secretarial School in New Haven. She worked for 45 years in the Accounting Department and was a past Assistant Treasurer of Milford Rivet & Machine Company. Eunice was an active member of the First United Church of Christ Congregational in Milford since 1925. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Eunice was also active in the Kayopha Unit and Afternoon Unit at the church. Eunice also volunteered her time at Milford Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, playing cards and ceramics. She will be sadly missed by her devoted niece, Barbara Mulligan of Milford; her great niece, Kimberly Mulligan of New Canaan; and her great nephew, Richard Mulligan Jr. of Milford. Besides her parents, Eunice is predeceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Brewer-Lyon her husband, Earl Lyon Sr. and her nephew, Earl "Tommy" Lyon Jr. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at the (Plymouth Building) First United Church of Christ Congregational in Milford at 12:00 (Noon). Interment will be private in Kings Highway Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
