Eula Lee Smith, 92, of Bonifay died April 24 at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay. She was born Aug. 9, 1916 in Georgiana, Ala. to the late George W. and Rosa Boutwell Herring. In addition to her parents, her husband, Henry Leamon Smith and one daughter, Iva Smith, precede her in death. Survivors include five sons, Wendell Smith and wife, Maryland, Ralph Smith and wife, Lorene, Ray Smith and wife, Sandra, Ronnie Smith and wife, Jane, all of Bonifay and Roy Smith and wife, Linda of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; two daughters, Shirley Hill and husband, Jim of Aurora, Colo., Linda Sue Johnston and husband, Tom of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Jewel McNaughton, Nettie Cartwright, both of Greenville, Ala., Betty Kelley of Prattville, Ala.; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Services were held April 28 at Pine Hill Church with the Rev. Johnie Bradshaw officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay, directing.
