FAUST, EUGENE M. "GENE," 81, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2008, at Norton Suburban Hospital. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, John M. and Evelyn M. Faust and his brother, John F. "Jack" Faust. He was a retired Army sergeant first class (SFC), past Master Parkland Masonic Lodge, #638 F&AM and a member of St. Martha Catholic Church. Gene is survived by his wife, Catherine Norris Faust, formerly, of Bardstown, KY; his sister, Dolores F. "Doe" Riehm; a brother, Robert A. "Bob" Faust, and his sister-in-law, Elizabeth G. "Lib" Faust. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. The funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday and a Masonic Service by the Parkland Masonic Lodge will be held at 7 p.m. Friday. Expressions of sympathy may go to St. Martha's Catholic Church.
