Eugene G. Faber of Owego, N.Y. Eugene G. Faber, 73, of Owego, N.Y., passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Kay Faber; his children, Kelly Faber, Owego, Randy and Denise Faber, Dryden, N.Y., Tracey and Tim Shiplett, Mountain Top, Pa., Louie Faber, Owego, Leslie and Mike Christoferson, Rome, Pa., Steven and Jodie Faber, Plymouth, Pa.; his eight grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce and Edward Valentine, Kathryn Faber; brother and sister-in-law, William and Evelyn Faber; several nieces and nephews, and many good friends. Eugene was born in Owego, N.Y. on September 23, 1933, the son of the late Victor and Pearl (Stocks) Faber. He helped establish the South Side Fire Company, where he served as the 1st Chief. Throughout his life, he enjoyed many outdoor sporting activities such as fishing, snowmobiling, softball, and especially hunting. Family and friends are invited to call at Richards Funeral Home, Rte. 17c West, Owego, N.Y., on Thursday evening, March 29, 2007, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Private memorial services will be held later at the convenience of the family.
