CASEY Eugene F. Casey, age 70, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2008 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Norwalk on August 19, 1938, the son of the late Ellen and Arthur F. Casey, Gene was a lifelong area resident. He was an Airforce Veteran and had worked as a self-employed salesman. Gene loved his family and friends unconditionally. He was a kind and caring person who was really interested in the people around him. He loved talking about politics, history, the Red Sox and the Patriots. Gene was a free spirit who remained young at heart. He ventured down many roads without fear or regret. His life was a journey that gave him joy and seldom left him disappointed. He is survived by his best friend, Joan Bragdon of Bridgeport; a brother, Paul A. Casey and his wife, Jeanette of Bridgeport; two sisters, Ellen Dunleavy and her husband Jack of Harwichport, MA and Katherine Tuttle and her husband, Richard of Monroe; his sister-in-law, Arline Casey of Monroe; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Arthur F. Casey Jr. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with a prayer service to be held at 6:30pm ( use the Brick Walk or Patriot Plaza entrances ).
