CONCORD -- Ethel Laffin Wison , 92, died Nov. 25, 2009, at her home. She was born in Moose Brook, N.S., Canada, Feb. 25, 1917, and grew up in Wilmington, Mass. before moving to Ballardvale, Mass. She attended Lowell State Teacher's College. She worked as a librarian and retired from Memorial Hall Library in Andover, Mass. Upon retiring, she moved to Newton, and in 1991 she moved to Concord. She was an active member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Pierce Brigade. She was predeceased by her husband, John Wilson. Family members include a daughter, Joan Wilson Woodhead; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three generations of nieces and nephews. SERVICES: A memorial celebration will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Concord. Memorial donations may be made to the Pierce Brigade, PO Box 425, Concord. Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of arrangements.
