Obituary of Ethel-Pearl Carter

ETHEL PEARLCARTER, 89 LAKELAND - Ethel Pearl Carter, The Apple of Our Eye, was born January 14, 1923 in Miami, Florida, and went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2012, in Lakeland, due to major peripheral artery disease. The most kind, caring, loving, easy to please, unselfish, humble, beautiful and amazing person we have ever known. To say she will be missed is an understatement. She was so loved! A beautiful light has gone out in our world, but is lit now in heaven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Carter and her sister, Laura May "Bobbie" Jacobs. She is survived by her sisters, Elva VanHorn and Elsie "Billie" Piegols; children, Anthony Lee Carter and Barbara L. Whetton; her grandchildren Christy Carter, Mike Westergaard and his wife Patricia; three great grandchildren, Faith, Natalia and Victoria; along with other loyal family and friends. A time to celebrate Pearlie's special life is planned for Monday, January 30, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Lakeland, FL at 3pm in the chapel. Reception to follow in the parlor.
