November 18, 2004 Ethel P. (Pickard) Murphy, 93, of Greenpoint, Liverpool, former resident of E. Syracuse, passed away Thursday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Syracuse, she graduated from East Syracuse High School. She was a wire designer for the Heavy MilitaryDept. of General Electric Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1972, and a member of St. Matthew's Parish. Her husband, Walter L. Murphy, died in 1994. Survivors: four daughters, Kathleen Wilbur Hopkins and William Hopkins of E. Syracuse, Marilyn and Byron Monday of Ocala, FL, Wilma and Frank Schmeler of Nassau, NY, Lois and James Christaldi of Liverpool; two sons, Bernard and Edith Murphy of Pearce, AZ, Walter and Melanie Murphy of Huntington, TX; one sister, Helen Eno of Mattydale; one brother, Roy Pickard of Brewerton; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 22, at Forani & Cline Funeral Home, and 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Minoa. Calling hours 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, November 21, at the funeral home, 206 Kinne St., E. Syracuse. Contributions: St. Matthew's Church Restoration Fund, W. Yates St., E. Syracuse, NY 13057.
