McCALL, Ethel Marie (nee Coombes) November 19, 1917 - Nov. 24, 2005 Blessed with good health until taken by a massive stroke, her sudden departure is sorrowfully mourned. She joins her beloved Hugh (deceased January 12, 2005), son Donald (1987) and her two sisters and three brothers. Born in Tofield, Alberta, married Feb. 1942, this seemingly indestructible petite woman has anchored, nourished and enriched the lives of family and friends. Daughters: Mary Cooper of Shawnigan Lake; Stacey (Brian) Frank of Victoria; son Doug (Lynne) McCall of Edmonton; daughter-in-law Sheila McCall of Victoria; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. No service by her request; cremation with private inurnment to follow.
