NORRIS, Ethel (nee Murphy). After a long illness, at Ste. Anne's Veteran's hospital on December 27, 2008. Predeceased by her husband Douglas Norris. Proud World War II veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Long time employee of Merck Frosst. Survived by her sister Joan Roberts as well as many nieces and nephews. Ethel was a devoted mother to Douglas (Theresa Shanahan), Bruce (Linda Small), Gordon (Patricia Rae), Joan (late Norman O'Brien) and Lesley (Gordon Singer). Special aunt to Kathleen. Granny will be lovingly remembered by: Catherine, Christina, Laura, Karen, Kelly, Tracey, Norman, Sharon, Jeffrey, Susan, Kevin, Andrea, Mark and the late Brian, as well as eight great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Margaret Million and Father Mike Shaw (St-Thomas A Becket), as well as the staff and volunteers at Ste. Anne's for their devoted care throughout. Visitation will be at: on January 9, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to take place at St-Thomas A Becket Church, 4333 Hugo St., Pierrefonds, Qc H9H 4G5 on January 10, 2009 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ste-Anne's Veteran's Hospital Foundation or St. Thomas A Becket Parish Church.
