Ethel Louise (Morrison) Flewelling Born: Mon May 2, 1921 Died: Mon Apr 9, 2012 It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected and sudden passing of Ethel Louise Flewelling, wife of the late H. Leigh Flewelling, who passed away at her home in Rothesay, NB., on Monday, April 9th, 2012. Born in Titusville, Kings Co., NB, she was the daughter of the late John “Brady” and Helen “Nellie” (Rupert) Morrison. She was a devoted wife and mother, with strong Christian faith and values and a concerned and helpful friend to her extended family and many friends. A New Brunswick educator and caring teacher who began her teaching career in rural schools of Queens and Kings Counties. Ethel spent most of her teaching career in classrooms of District #8 (formerly District # 20) retiring in 1985. Active in retirement in supply teaching and tutoring, she was also a Member of the NB Retired Teachers Association. Ethel is survived by her loving children, son Donald and daughter Ruth (Stephen) Lesbirel, both of Rothesay, NB, sisters-in-law Vera Morrison, Sussex, NB, and Norma Flewelling, The Range, Cumberland Bay, NB, her neice Beth (Quentin) Day, nephews Murray Morrison, Ron Morrison, Sandy (Donna) Morrison, Stuart (Joanne) Morrison, Gordon (Connie) Morrison, Steve (Ellen) Morrison and their families, and her special Yorkie “Maggie”. In addition to her parents and husband, Ethel was also predeceased by her brothers Charles, Albert, and John Morrison, and her sister Irene Aiton. Arrangements under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB., (646-2424) with visiting Wednesday, April 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 1pm., followed by interment in Titus Hill Cemetery. Donations in Ethel’s memory made to the Titus Hill Cemetery, Gideon Bible Society, or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
