Funeral for Ethel Lee Jones, 100, of Danville will be Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Virgil Bohn and the Rev. David Parker officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Jones, who died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at Summerford Nursing Home, was born Aug. 9, 1905, in Franklin County to Abner William Bishop and Laura Pearson Bishop. She was the oldest member of McKendree United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert M. Jones Sr.; her son, Billie Jones; her grandson, William Andrew Perkins; her brothers, Johnny Bishop, Lonnie Bishop and Grady Bishop; and her sisters, Elsie Postell, Lula Wiggins, Ruby Clifton and Ruth Barnett. She is survived by one son, A.M. “Mack” Jones Jr., and his wife, Mary, of Vinemont; two daughters, Annie Laura Mosley of Birmingham and the Rev. Kathryne Perkins and her husband, Ace, of Danville; one sister, Icy Dell Cooper of Decatur; eight grandchildren, Johnny Perkins, Anna Summerford, Cynthia Dobbs, JoAnne Nichols, Sarah Terry, Robert Hill, Briggitte Lackey and Kevin Atchley; and nine great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Johnny Perkins, Robbie Hill, Jason Summerford, Tim Terry, Doug Wigginton and Terrell Way.
