->LITCHFIELD -- Ethel Helen Tower, 73, of Warren Lane in Litchfield passed away Saturday morning March 10, 2007, at the MaineGeneral Medical Center-Waterville Thayer Unit. She was born in Litchfield on April 9, 1933, a daughter of Edward A. and Carrie Buker Stevens. Ethel attended Litchfield schools. She was employed at local shoe factories and as a mental health worker at AMHI. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Tower, her sister Margaret Eaton and her brother Albert (Buster) Stevens She is survived by her son Harold Tower Jr. and his wife, Jane, of Mt Vernon. Her two daughters Helen Barnes and husband, Cheyenne, of Palermo, and Lynn Marie Tower of Litchfield; her brother Edward H. Stevens Jr. and wife, Maryann, of Litchfield; her sister Mary Dunlap of Litchfield; eight grandchildren Stacy Henderson, Andy Dumas, Samantha Dumas, Ruby Barnes, Josh Barnes, Jon Barnes, Grace Barnes, Stephen Barnes. Visiting hours will be held Monday 2-4 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. Burial will be in the spring in Litchfield Plains Cemetery beside her husband.
