SMITH, Esther M., 69, of Tampa, passed away Friday, July 2, 2004. Born in Jamaica, Esther worked as a CNA in nursing homes and with the Assoc. for Retarded Citizens which she loved. She was also a kindergarten teacher and was an avid reader. She is survived by her loving children; Derrick and Merrick Smith, both of Tampa, Ellen Marshall, Tampa and Melanie Lawrence, of Baltimore, Md.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home West Chapel.
