Jordan, Esther G. SELKIRK Esther G. Jordan, 93, entered eternal life Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Community Hospice Inn surrounded by her loving family. Esther was a graduate of Mildred Elley and was a bookkeeper for several years before becoming a stay-at-home wife and mother. She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Bethlehem and the Bethlehem Grange. Esther's passions in addition to the love and care of family were bowling, gardening, reading, word puzzles and baking her renowned chocolate chip cookies. Esther was predeceased by her loving husband, Howard L. Jordan; son, James W. Jordan; her sister and husband, Lilla and Wilbur Hallenbeck and her parents, Walter and F. Grace Smith. Survivors include her children, P. Susan Jordan of Garrison, N.Y., Keith H. Jordan and Brian L. (Annette) Jordan both of Glenmont; daughter-in-law, Arlene Jordan of Selkirk; grandchildren, Michael (Nicole), Christopher, Timothy, Evan and Alisha Jordan, Tammy (Jason) Jordan Rocque; great-grandchildren, Faith, James and Payton Jordan and Abigail Rocque. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff on M4 at Albany Medical Center and Community Hospice Inn for their compassionate loving care. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, January 24 at the First Reformed Church of Bethlehem, Selkirk. Friends may call at the church prior to the service starting at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Esther's name to Community Hospice of Albany County or the Bethlehem Volunteer Ambulance Service.
