Priceville<!--Priceville-->Estelle “Granny” Meares, 96, of Priceville passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at her daughter’s residence. Funeral will be Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Raymond Bush officiating.Burial will be in Grange Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. She is survived by three sons, Wayne Meares of Moulton, Jimmy Meares of Somerville and Gary Meares of Fort Mitchell; seven daughters, Lellyan Davis of Hartselle, Martha Miller of Holden, La., Edith Terry of Lacey’s Spring, Linda Peterson of Priceville, Connie Wilbanks of Lilburn, Ga., Brenda Blankenship of Priceville and Vicki Whisenant of Morgan City; 39 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Brian Meares, Torrie Blankenship, Ty Whisenant, Jody Whisenant, Tim Davis, Matthew Meares, Vincent Peterson and Chuck Terry.
