ADAMS, Estella Kathleen Mary (nee Murphy): Passed away peacefully at Restview Retirement Home in Clinton on February 4, 2000. She was in her 88th year. Born on March 8, 1912 in Hullett Township, she was the beloved only child of the late Bill and Kate (Little) Murphy. She married John Lewis Adams in 1943 and was predeceased by him in 1972. Estella was the devoted mother of Leland and Cathy Adams of Mississauga, and Gloria and Alex Westerhout of Clinton area. She was the loving grandmother of Amanda Adams of Wolfville, Nova Scotia and Evan Adams at home, as well as Adam and Tyler Westerhout both at home. Estella is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, many who reside in Huron County and some who live in California and North Dakota. Estella was a lifelong member of Burns United and later Londesboro United Church. She enjoyed dancing and playing euchre for fun and also participated in activities at the Happy Gang Seniors and the Cheerio Club in Londesboro for many years. She was a practical, hardworking farmer all her life and for years sold eggs to Livermore's in Clinton and cream to Bisset's Creamery in Goderich to earn extra money for her family, whom she dearly loved. Her family will miss her presence in their lives and will love her and cherish their memories of her forever. She was a unique and very special person, quiet and independent, at times guarding her privacy. She enjoyed her own company and was used to it all her life after she lost her mother at the tender age of 15. Family and friends were received at the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Home in Clinton on Sunday, February 6 in the afternoon and evening, where the funeral service was conducted on Monday, February 7 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Ernest Dow officiating. A eulogy written by Estella's daughter was also read by Rev. Dow. Spring interment to follow in Blyth Union Cemetery.
