BROWN, Essie Mae Age 86, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on October 19, 1922 in Macon, GA to the late Albert and Essie (Barnes) Mosley. Essie was predeceased by her husband, Charles Brown; and son, Albert Brown. Survivors include her son, Charles (Lucinda) Brown of Chemung, NY; daughters, Essie Pearl Harpe of Virginia Beach, VA, Eloise (Michael) Barclay of Elmira, and Rachel Patricia Brown of Brooklyn, NY; sister, Patsy Willis of Macon, GA; brothers, Numa Mosley of Macon, GA, and Willie Lee Mosley of Detroit, MI; many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, June Sheehan and Pauline Pardee. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 4th, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place there at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
