DAVIS, ERNEST W., 76, of Louisville, died Friday May 12, 2006. Ernie Davis was a native of Campbellsville, a retired employee of General Electric after 37 years of service, a member of Okolona Christian Church and Fern Creek Masonic Lodge #955 and a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, the former Caroline Bault; three sons, Randy Davis (Melissa), Gary Davis (Darlene), and Neil Davis (Leslie); his brother, Manuel Davis; and sisters, Flossie Evans and Helen Underwood; five grandchildren, Sara Adams, Amy Caummisar, Maggie Davis, Jenny Gibbs, and Ron Gibbs; and four great- grandchildren, Rachel Adams, Carter Adams, Tyler Caummisar, and Parker Gibbs. Funeral services for Ernie Davis will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Funeral Home with private interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. The visitation will be 2-8 p.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers, please direct contributions to his church's building fund.
