DAVIS, Ernest S. Peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, of Ernest S. Davis of 152 Arnett Ave., Summerside, and formerly of Kensington, in his 86th year. Veteran of Second World War. Born in Five Islands, N.S., February 23, 1922, son of the late Harry and Floretta (Eagles) Davis. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Minnie G. (Gill) Davis. Father of Bill (Sandra), Summerside; Kenny (Paulette), Summerside; Kevin (Jane), Summerside; Greg (Tina), Kensington. Father-in-law of Charlie Barlow, Clermont. Also survived by Rose Lewis, Five Islands, N.S. Grandfather of Angela, Crystal, Jolene, Tanya, Kelly, Cathy, Patty, David, Kayla, Travis, Mark, Ryan and Breann, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Uncle of Donna Davis, Beaverbank, N.S., as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter, Elizabeth Barlow; daughter-in-law, Judy Davis; and brother, Clarence and his wife, Muriel Davis. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment in People's Cemetery, Kensington. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Hospice Palliative Care of P.E.I. (East Prince). Comrades of Lt. Col. E.W.
