Erna Ida Cadman Balser 1919-2015 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Erna Ida Cadman Balser, age 95, of Sackville. Erna passed away peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Born in Baie Verte, NB, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Annie (Turner) Patterson. Erna kept boarders for many years after her first husband passed away. She then educated herself at Oulton's Business College and worked for years at Atlantic Wholesalers and retired from Fawcett Foundry. A loving lady, she took great care of her two daughters and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to crochet, and many family and friends were lucky to receive some of her afghans and crafts. She will be sadly missed by her 2 daughters; Louise (Frank) Fearon, Sackville and Patsy (Richard Pond) Rose of Shubenacadie; 3 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; 3 brothers; Garnet, Coburg, William (Kay), Point de Bute, and Ricky, British Columbia. She was predeceased by her first husband Norval Cadman, her second husband Walter Balser,grandson Gordy Fearon; brothers Victor, James, Donald, and Layton. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 1 pm until the time of the funeral at 2 pm. The funeral will take place immediately following at 2 pm. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring. Further time to share memories and a cup of tea will follow in the Jones Funeral Home reception room.
