Obituary of Eric-S. Johnson


Eric Shamond Johnson, 37, of Florence, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006.Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Trinity Memorial Funeral Home, Muscle Shoals. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Little Zion No. 2 M.B. Church, Florence, with burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Officiating at the funeral will be the Rev. Christopher Mayes.Eric was a native of Florence, a graduate of Central High School, was employed at Essex Group (Southwire) in Florence and was a member of Little Zion No. 2 M.B. Church. He was a loving dad, a devoted son, a wonderful brother, a good friend and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was greatly loved by his entire family.He is survived by his daughters, Eiero and Miranda Johnson, of Georgia; his son, Antiwon Johnson, of Georgia; their mother, Lolita Horton, of Georgia; his mother, Mildred Johnson, of Florence; father and stepmother, Jessie and Cassie Johnson, Leighton; sisters, Sonya (James) Swinney, Indianapolis, Ind., and Kelia Johnson, Leighton; brothers, Craig Johnson and Tony Bell, both of Florence; stepsister, Helen (Algen) Anderson, Florence; 11 aunts; six uncles; and many cousins and friends.Pallbearers will be his friends.
