EMMA RUTH SCOTT "SIREE" GARY, IN Emma Ruth Scott "Siree", age 77 of Gary, formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, IL. She survived by her husband Elmore; one daughter, Trenese Robinson; one son, Larry Tillman, Sr.; two stepdaughters: Janet Campbell and Terril Ann Scott; twelve grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers: Tommy (Alayna)Tillman and Jerry Tillman; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents: Charlie and Mozell Tillman; two sisters: Charlie Mae Tillman and Mary Ann Ollie; one brother, William C. Tillman; great nephew, Kerry Jermaine Veal. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 4756 Melville, Ave., East Chicago, IN with Rev. Rodney Golson, Sr. officiating. Interment, Oak Hill Cemetery, Gary, IN. Visitation will beheld Friday, October 17, 2014 at Hinton & Williams Funeral Home, 4859 Alexander Ave., East Chicago, IN from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Scott was a member of the Usher Board and the Missionary Society of Friendship Baptist Church and a volunteer at Methodist Hospital Northlake Campus for over 15 years.
