Emma, a lover of people and longtime missionary teacher in Bangalore, India, passed into the presence of her beloved Savior, Jesus, on November 2nd, 2013, age 96, in Victoria, British Columbia. Born June 25, 1917 to Percy and Nora Horton of Bon Accord, Alberta, she was big sister to her late brothers Donald (Margaret), Oswald (Irene/Lois), Percy, Bevan (Meg) and survived by Lorraine (John) and Nonie (Gordon). Emma taught in rural Alberta, Edmonton and England, before fulfilling her dream in 1949 to be a missionary teacher in India. She continued active teaching and administration at Clarence High School in India until 1996. In her eighties she learned how to use a computer and wrote the book "A Beacon in Bangalore". Emma loved her many nieces, nephews, greats and great-greats. Emma will be dearly missed. Heartfelt thanks to all the Luther Court staff and Dr. Brooks for their care of Emma.
