ObituaryEMMA "EMILY" MARTHA CUDLIN MILLERNEWFIELD - Emma Emily Martha Cudlin Miller, 91, of Trumbulls Corners Rd., Newfield, NY, went home to be with her Lord at the Cayuga Medical Center January 1, 2004, after a long illness. She was born April 28, 1912 on Connecticut Hill in Newfield, the daughter of the late Anton and Aloisi Hajek Cudlin. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Charles O. Miller on June 30, 2002.Emma is survived by three daughters, Charlotte (David) Boehning of Clarks Summit, PA, Sylvia (David) Del Favero of Auburn, NY, and Helen (Alan) Chaffee of Newfield, NY.She is also survived by an older sister, Beatrice Knight of Ithaca; and eight grandchildren, Kristin Crichton, StacyAnn Matz, Lisel Whipple, Samara and Tasina Zink and Mamie, Seth and Ethan Chaffee; and one great-granddaughter, Kaelee Whipple.Emma was predeceased by one daughter, Gloria Jean Miller in 1945; two brothers, Anton Tony Cudlin (2003) and Joseph Cudlin (1928); and three sisters, Ella Blaha (2003), Ethel Krizek (1992) and Mary Cudlin (1968).Emma was a member of the People's Baptist Church in Newfield for many years and faithfully served her Lord as a driver for Release Time, helper in Vacation Bible School, worker in the nursery, and was very supportive in praying and giving.We will always remember our beloved mother for her devotion to our family, love and kindness to others, and life-long love of all sorts of pets and animals. Above all, we will remember her strong faith in Jesus Christ as well as her reading of the Bible.A private memorial service will be held for the family with Pastor James Depue officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Newfield, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Radio Bible Class, PO Box 2222, Grand Rapids, MI, 49501-2222, or the American Stroke Association, 2113 Chili Avenue, Rochester, NY, 14624. (Emma's granddaughter, Tasina Zink, will be running a marathon for the American Stroke Association in her grandmother's honor on Jan. 11, 2004.) Allen-Manzer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
