EMMA JEAN BROWND BEAVER DAM, KY Emma Jean Brownd, 78, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at her home. She was born November 23, 1934 in Owensboro, KY to the late Benjamin Franklin Long and Anna Mae Young Long. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Olaton and was a homemaker. Besides her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin L. Brownd; son, Don Eddie Brownd; daughter, Shirley Jean Brownd; granddaughter, Nicole Jean Brownd; and three brothers: Ermon Long, Mitchell Long, and Hubert Long. Survivors include three sons: Marvin Wayne Brownd of Beaver Dam, KY, Terry Denton (Yvonne) Brownd of Griffith, IN, and Mark Anthony (Sharon) Brownd of Crown Point, IN; one brother, Elton Long of Kansas; and four grandchildren, Jarrett Brownd, Zackary Brownd, Hannah Brownd, and Hayley Brownd. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, KY with Rev. Charles Brownd officiating. Burial will be in McCord Cemetery in Olaton. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Saturday and 9:00 AM until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
