Memorial service for Emma B. "Jitter" Turner, 79, Jefferson Avenue, Port Orange, who passed away Thursday, March 16, 2006, will be 6 p.m. Monday, March 20, in the Cardwell & Maloney Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Mark Spivey, chaplain at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, officiating. Mrs. Turner was born in Lexington, N.C., and had lived here since 1958, coming from her birthplace. She retired after 11 years as a bookkeeper for the Port Orange Water Department. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards and fishing. Mrs. Turner is survived by her husband of 62 years. Emory; her son and daughter-in-law, David and Judy Turner, New Smyrna Beach; two grandsons and their wives, Richard and Michelle Turner, New Smyrna Beach, and Rusty and Tara Turner, Palm Coast; and five great-grandchildren, Paige, Tyler, Hunter, Devon and Nicholas. In lieu of other remembrances, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
