NORTON - Emily "Amy" (Whyte) Adams, 96, a Lowell resident for more than 50 years, died Oct. 2, 2002, in Norton. She was the widow of J. Donald Adams.She was born in Liverpool, England, on Sept. 10, 1906, a daughter of the late Archibald and Eliza Emily Whyte.Mrs. Adams was a member and elder of the Women's Association of the Eliot Church, a member of the Women's Association of the Lowell General Hospital, and a trustee and patron of the Merrimack River Valley House. She was also a member of the Lowell Tuberculosis Association, Lowell Girl's Club, and the Lowell Community Concert Association.She is survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
