EMELIA (ST. MARTIN) FRENCH BURLINGTON — Emelia M. French, 95, formerly of 101 College St., passed away on Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, in Birchwood Terrace Health Care. She was born in Burlington on June 9, 1909, the daughter of Peter and Flora (Provencher) St. Martin. Her long working life included being employed at Queen City Cotton Mill in Lakeside, American Woolen Mills in Winooski, General Electric, Lakeside, and finally at Municipal Nursing Home in Burlington. She was a member of Cathedral parish. She leaves her daughter and sonin-law, Shirley and Russell Lilly; three granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and her niece and husband, Pauline and Allyn James, who took care of her for many years. She also leaves six nephews and several cousins. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Elmwood-Meunier Funeral Chapel, 97 Elmwood Ave., where friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery Annex, Pomeroy Street.
