Obituary of Elsie-Williams Carter

BARNWELL, S.C. - Elsie Williams Carter, 69, died Friday, June 20, 2003, in Aiken. Born in Appleton, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Jones Madison and Besty Pearl Cling Williams. She was a retired merchant and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Rommie Martin and Rev. Gene Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport. The family received friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., at Mole Funeral Home. Survivors include son, Joe Moody of Barnwell; daughters, Diane Fischer and Patricia Carter of Barnwell; brothers, William Williams of Barnwell, Louis Williams and Jerry Williams of Orangeburg; sisters, Mary Rogers , Hazel Laird and Lucille Russell of Barnwell; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
