MAHON, Elsie May (nee Hunter) Born London, England April 20, 1910. Passed away peacefully January 13, 2006 at Saanich Peninsula Extended Care Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Charles Henry Mahon. Mum will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Joy (Tom) Scott, and Marjorie Pettigrew; sons, Charles (Joanne) Mahon and Dennis (Sharon) Mahon as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mum went with her parents to Shanghai, China at the age of nine and lived there for 27 years during which time she got married. She came to Canada with her husband and family in 1946. Mum spent many happy years with Sidney Silver Threads and her many accomplishments also included acting as the "Gran" in the CHEK TV's series "Time Exposures." The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at Saanich Peninsula Extended Care II for their kindness and compassionate care extended to our mum.
