Obituary of Elsie-Mae-Tacker Bell


Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Mae Tacker Bell 99 will be Saturday July 29 2006 at 10:30 A.M. in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Harber officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Mrs. Bell died Wednesday July 26 2006 in West Tennessee Transitional Care. She was the daughter of the late John T. and Emma Ann Lewis Tacker and was born and raised in the Leapwood Community of McNairy County. She graduated from Bethel Springs High School in 1929. She was a former member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and at the time of her death was a member of North Jackson Baptist Church. An active member she served as a sunday school teacher member of Senior Adults and the Baptist Women Missions. She was also a member of the Home Circle Club. She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Bell; a son-in-law Steve A. Bullock; two brothers J. H. Tacker and C. H. Tacker; and a sister Annie B. Taylor. Survivors include a son George Nelson Bell; and a daughter Nelda Bullock both of Jackson; and three grandchildren Wendy Bullock of Jackson Theresa Angle of Benton Kentucky and Greg Bullock of Murfreesboro. Friends may visit with the family today from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home 731-424-2424
