HENRY HALL, Elsie Christine - ( 1917-2011) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Mother on Thursday, June 2, 2011. Elsie was much loved, and is survived by her husband, Ken Hall. She was devoted to, and cherished by, her children, Bill Henry (Pat) and Joan Smart (Laddie); her granddaughters, Sarah Henry (Andy) and Kristen Smart; her niece, Mary Lou Woods (Sue); her great-grandchildren, Drake, Austin and Alexis; Ken's children, Milne (Leslie) and Nancy and his grandchildren, Andrew and Katie. Elsie was predeceased by Doward Henry, her loving husband and father of Bill and Joan. Elsie grew up in Durham, Ontario. She attended university in Guelph. She then moved to Toronto where she created a loving home for her family and developed many life long friendships. For many years Elsie was a devoted member of Leaside Presbyterian Church and a volunteer at Sunnybrook Hospital. Elsie lived a long and happy life, full of great kindness, integrity, gentle strength and optimism. Mom was our 'angel' on earth. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME -- A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue), from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6. A celebration of Elsie's life for family and close friends will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, June 7 at 10:30 a.m. Private interment at Durham Cemetery will follow.
