A native of Spartanburg County, she was the widow of James Franklin Smith, Sr. and the daughter of the late David C. Johnson and Josie L. Reid Johnson. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Whitestone, SC. She leaves to mourn one daughter, Lisa Ann Smith; two sons, Roosevelt Smith and Barry Lee Smith, all of Spartanburg, SC; three sisters, Hattie M. Johnson, Hazel E. Johnson and Louvenia (Sonny) Porter of Spartanburg, SC; three brothers, Jessie D. (Virginia) Johnson, Robert (Marie) Johnson of Spartanburg, SC and William (Elizabeth) Johnson of Cincinnati, OH. She was preceded in death by two sons, Tulu Smith and Dennis Smith.
