Anniston - Ellie Jean Miller, a native of Cleburne County and longtime resident of Calhoun County at 80 years old went home to be with her Heavenly Father on November 7, 2011 at UAB after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ellen Crowe; sisters, Mozelle Vaughan, Ezelle Breedwell, Jeanette Smith and brother, J.L. Crowe. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ercial Miller, of Anniston; sons, Terry Miller and his wife, Sandy, of Oxford, Mickey Miller and his wife, Linda, Dana Miller, of Anniston and by her daughter, Sharon Harrell, of Anniston. Also surviving Mrs Miller are her grandchildren, Amy Stewart (Jason), Amanda Scott (Matthew), Sandy Schmick (Scott), Amanda Scott (Matt), Heath Miller (Jennifer), Josh Miller, Beckey Leonard (Jake), Savannah Vasquez (David), Katie Snow (Hank), Joey Hollingsworth; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Crowe; sisters, W.Z. Crowe, Irmalene Norton and JoAnn Snow; and a host of others she loved as her own. Visitation will be tonight from 5-8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2011, in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home and Crematory with Josh Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Jake Leonard, David Vasquez, Matthew Scott, Jason Stewart, Heath Miller and Hank Snow.
