<!-- FH = Robertson County Funeral Home --><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Ellen MitchellEllen Elizabeth Mitchell, age 83 of Adams, died Thursday, October 30, 2014, at North Crest Medical Center.Funeral services were conducted Saturday, November 1, at 1 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment followed in Bellwood Cemetery in Adams with Justin Mitchell, Jason Tillman, Ed Perdue, Bill Donkin, Jess Moffitt, and Chris Wisnieski serving as Pallbearers.Mrs. Mitchell was born February 9, 1931, in Logan County, KY, to the late William Anderson and Willie Pearl Heaton Haley. She was a retired cook from the Jo Byrns School cafeteria. Mrs. Mitchell also cooked at Martha's Vineyard and was a biscuit maker at Springfield Hardee's in years past. She was of the Church of Christ faith. Mrs. Mitchell enjoyed quilting, embroidery, crocheting, baking, and being with her grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Mitchell, Sr.; son, Franklin Mitchell; brother, Johnny Haley; and her sister, Geneva Mitchell.She is survived by her son, George Edward Mitchell, Jr., of Springfield; daughters, Mary Sue (Charles) Wilson of Springfield, Patricia (Yogi Salyer) Tillman of Adams; sister, Rachel (Marvin) Bland of El Paso, TX; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
