Ellen Mary Clifford, 73, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Nazareth Home in Louisville after a five-year illness. She was born March 6, 1941, in Ashville, N.C., to Edward M. Clifford and Verne Rose DeLong Clifford. She attended high school in Upper Arlington, Ohio, and received a bachelor degree from Ohio State University. She experienced a variety of career opportunities in Ohio, Illinois and Kentucky. At the time of her illness, she was working for the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth at Nazareth in the Archives Dept. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Timothy Clifford; and sisters, Ann Weiland and Jane Klenotic. Survivors include her sisters, Bridgid Clifford, S.C.N. and Mary Karalexis, and her husband, George; and several nieces and nephews.Services will be Monday, Feb. 2, in the chapel at Nazareth Home, 2000 Newburg Road in Louisville, beginning with a visitation at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass at 11 a.m.Internment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in New Albany, Ind.Kraft Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
