ELLEN M. ADAMS HIGHLAND, IN Ellen M. Adams (nee Schoon), age 80 of Highland, IN, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 8, 2011. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 58 years, Norbert; children: Guy (Joanne), Jeff and Cathy Adams; and siblings: Norman (Marty) Schoon, Lois Schoon and John (Marlene) Schoon. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services for Ellen will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at 11:00 AM from the Trinity Reformed Church on the corner of Ridge Rd. and Columbia Ave. in Munster with Rev. Richard Bawinkel officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Lansing. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, May 9 from 3:00–8:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing. Mrs. Adams was an active member of Trinity Reformed Church and was a member of the Women's Club. She was a regional manger for Rosalee Department Store.
