JACOBS, Ellen Carolina Mrs. Ellen Jacobs of Daysland, AB formerly of Spring Lake passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 in Daysland, at the age of 80 years. Ellen is survived by her loving husband Leander; four children Keith Jacobs of Daysland, Irene (George) Ong of Sherwood Park, Cindy (Murray) Candlish of Daysland and Connie (Carl) Tywin of Edmonton; six grandchildren Jason Candlish (Alicia Zimmerman), Theresa (Mike) Smitten, Melanie Candlish, Krystyn Ong, Lauren Ong and Ty Jacobs; two great-grandchildren Noelle Cartwright and Adam Smitten. Ellen is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, relatives and friends. Ellen was predeceased by her son James, her parents and numerous brothers and sisters. Vigil Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2008 from Our Lady of The Prairies Roman Catholic Church, Daysland. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2008 from Our Lady of The Prairies Roman Catholic Church, Daysland with Reverend Larry Pederson officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Lake Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to The Cross Cancer Institute or a charity of your choice.
