Ellen J. White, 61, Sarasota, died Sept. 5, 2004. She was born Sept. 25, 1942, in Springfield, Mass., and came to Sarasota from there 17 years ago. She retired as office manager/director of Monarch Life Insurance Company in Springfield. She was a member of Gulf Gate Golf Club. He attended Church of the Palms-Presbyterian. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Paul F.; a stepdaughter, Valerie A. Smith of Ludlow, Mass.; stepsons David R. of Zephyrhills, John R. of Baltimore and James D. of Belchertown, Mass.; a brother, Michael Broga of Urbana, Ill.; her mother, Evelyn Broga of Westfield, Mass.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. No visitation is planned. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Gulf Gate Chapel.
