HENDERSON, Ellen Ada1918 - 2013Born in Hanwell, England on August 16, 1918. Ellen Ada Henderson died on February 13, 2013. Mom emigrated with her parents and two brothers from England on the R.M.S. Ausonia in 1926. Ellen's family homesteaded close to Connor Creek, Alberta, where two sisters were born.She is survived by son, Duane (Janena); daughter, Cheryl Tammets; granddaughters, Jennifer, Stephanie, Raina, Melissa; great- grandchildren, Dezmond and Natasha; sister, Ethel Kallbom; brother-in-law, Oliver (Hattie) Henderson; sister-in-law, Muriel (Roy) Findley; sister-in-law, Eileen Henderson and many nieces and nephews. Ellen was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend Percy, two brothers and one sister. Ellen and Percy retired to the West Coast for fishing, climate and the scenery. Mom moved back to Whitecourt in 2011 to be near family. At the time of her death she resided at Spruce View Lodge. Mom will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Ellen's life will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Memories Funeral Home, 13403 St. Albert Trail, Edmonton, Alberta, T5L 4X1.
