-><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Connell, Ellen E.Ellen Elizabeth Connell, age 87, of Maricopa Arizona, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on May 12, 2014. She was born in New York City on February 27, 1927, a daughter of the late Thomas and Katherine Keegan. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Charles in 2004 and by one grandson, Peter in 1986. Ellen spent much of her adult life raising her six children. Not satisfied with raising only her own six, she then worked for many years as a middle school math teacher at St. Margaret's in Pearl River, NY. After retiring from St. Margaret's, Ellen worked at the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea (A&P) Company in Montvale, NJ as an accounting supervisor. She moved from the long-time family home in Pearl River to Maricopa, AZ in 2008. She enjoyed reading, gardening, walking, and was always seeking out new learning experiences. Ellen is survived by six children and their spouses: Charles (Jr.) and Linda (Elliott) of Maricopa, AZ; Eugene and Anne (Papaleo) of Erie, PA; Mary and Bill (Bullis) of Campbell Hall, NY; Paul and Kathy (Dalmas) of Blauvelt, NY; Frances and Kenneth (Sigler) of Harrington Park, NJ; and Kevin and Annette (Irizarry) of Maricopa, AZ. She has eleven grandchildren: Tammy, Tara, Sean, Christopher, Jennifer, Ian, Jimmy, Amanda, Amelia, Monica, and Kurt; and one great grand-child: Brittany (Calderwood). Friends may call at the Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, 100 Franklin Ave., Pearl River, NY 10965, on Friday, June 6 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services are to be held at St. Margaret's RC Church on W.
