Ellen Carpenter Chesterton Ellen Carpenter, age 81 of Chesterton, passed away Friday evening August 6 2004 at her home. She is survived by two brothers, Lee and Harry Gast; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, David and brother, Richard Gast. Funeral services Wednesday, August 11, 2004, 11 a.m. from the Fairhaven Baptist Church, Chesterton, Indiana, with Pastor Don Whitecar officiating. Burial, Chesterton Cemetery.
