WILLIAMS, Mrs. Ella Mae, 71 aresident of Montgomery, ALdeparted this life Friday, April30, 2010. Funeral services willbe held Saturday, May 8,2010 at 11:00 AM from ShilohMissionary Baptist Churchwith Rev. Juan McFarland,officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Annex Cemetery with Ross-Clayton Funeral Home, Inc., directing. Mrs.Williams will lie in repose atthe church two hour prior tothe funeral service. She wasthe lead singer of a local gospel duet known as Grant andElla Williams. They wereknown for their gospel records in 1950¦s and 60¦s. Sheworked for the MontgomeryCounty Board of Educationfor many years. She was predeceased by her husband,parents, daughter and brother, Precious memories will forever be cherished in thehearts of her family; four sons,Grant (Eloise) Williams, Montgomery, AL, Byle (Tonji) Williams, Atlanta, GA, Cedric Williams, Montgomery, Al andAnthony (Petre-Ann) Williams,Pembroke Pines, FL; threedaughters, Phyllis Williams,Grafenwoehr, Germany, IrishBlack, Montgomery, AL andFloraetta (Lorenzo) Braxter,Wetumpka, AL; two sisters, Debra Washington and DonnaWilliams, Montgomery, AL;four brothers, John (Ann) Williams, Eugene (Bessie) Williams, Jerome (Linda) Williams and Elvis (LaMonica)Williams, all of Montgomery,AL; sixteen grandchildren;twenty-two great grandchildren; one aunt, Annie MaeRogers; a devoted cousin, Dr.Johnnye Witcher and a hostof nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
