AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Ella Mae Sapp Peterson, 67, of 2124 Circular Dr., entered eternal rest Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Medical College of Georgia. Ella was a native of Burke Co., born January 21, 1942, to the late Arthur J. Sapp and Nina Calhoun McDaniels. She leaves to cherish her memories five children: Vernon (Felicia) McCoy, Augusta, Ga., Wayne (Angela) Jones, Fayetteville, N.C., Natasha (Gary) Sims, Augusta, Ga., Tameka Jones, Hephzibah, Ga., and Jamey (Mesha) Peterson, Augusta, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009, 1 p.m., at New Springfield Baptist Church (Alexander, Ga., Burke Co.) with Rev. Gregory Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday from 12 noon until 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at 3735 Kings Gate Dr., Hephzibah, Ga.
