Ella O. Jones, 88, of Athens, died on July 4, 2014.Survivors include her children, Betty Branch, Noah Oglesby, Thomas Oglesby, and Veronica Jones, of Athens; Mary Oglesby, of Jackson; and Melvin Jones, of Columbus, Ind. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.Visitation is scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at Hurley Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, at New Grove Baptist Church, in Winterville.Hurley Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of the arrangements.
