ObituaryOur loving mother Ella Hazel Nelson, 79 died peacefully on April 20, 2009. She was born in Fayetteville, NC, and grew up in ST. Augustine, FL, then continued on to raise her family of four here in Fort Myers. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, William "Buddy" Nelson, her mother, Mary Buie, and both brothers Charles and Thomas Buie. Surviving are her sons, William Gary Nelson and Donald Jay Nelson (Gina) along with her daughters, Sharon Ann Brod (Thomas) and Mary Gail Nelson Haffner. She was devoted to her grandchildren Jason, Melissa, Lauren, Carol Ann, Kirstin, Cameron, Palmer, Rickey and Maria. As well as her three great grandchildren Madison, Sydney and Riley. A private celebration of Hazel's life will be held on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her honor to Hope Hospice or the Alvin Dubin Alzheimer's center.
