HARRIS, Ella (nee Sampson) It is with a mixture of sadness and joy that we announce Ella's peaceful passing into the presence of her Lord on March 28th, 2011. Born on October 1st, 1902, she lived for 108 years. She believed that the key to longevity was faith in God and the practice of intentional happiness. Ella was predeceased by her husband, Ron, in 1993 and daughter-in-law, Doreen, in 2009. She is survived by her sons, Les and Doug (Mary), 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, extended family members, nieces, nephews and dear friends. She will be remembered and cherished for her deep compassion, her wisdom, her laughter, her warm spirit and her strong faith. A public viewing will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 3rd, 2011 at Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 3070-275A Street in Aldergrove. A graveside service will be held on Monday April 4th, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (3789 Royal Oak Ave., Burnaby) and a public memorial service will be held on the same day at 1:30 pm in the South Delta Baptist Church (1988 56th Street, Tsawwassen).
